Carpenter Ants Strike!

Keep an eye out for carpenter ants and termites this summer. They love wet weather and last spring and early summer were exceptionally damp. This beam measured 28 feet long by nearly 3' tall and 6" thick. Over top of the beam is a story and a half office and guest bedroom. The carpenter ants found their way to nearly the middle of the beam and made swiss cheese out of it. It was a fun project and thanks to Morgan for the great pics! Now if we can only find a photo with the 100% finished product. :)
