Western Red Cedar 4x4's and 4x6's, and 8x8's with 1/4" x 2" steel mortised within each beam and tied together with copper straps. This pergola can be found at a home on Lake Avenue near downtown Grand Haven.
Treated and stained 2x12's, 2x10's with 6x5 posts and 2x4 perlins. This Pergola stands atop a second story deck overlooking Lake Michigan. The canvas was later added for additional diffusion of the sun.
The turnbuckle steel cable acts as the bottom cord of an invisible truss.
