The corrugated metal came from a barn roof in Wisconsin while the barn boards came from an Amish farm in Reed City. The barn was built in 1883. It was incredible to work with wood over 120 years old

Think rust and reclaimed timbers. Nearly all the materials we worked with on this project were found throughout the mid-west and re purposed.

The foot rest came from recycled vent pipes we found out back in a warehouse.
Each glass panel is made from old school safety glass with chicken wire mesh. I remember this kind of stuff in the door windows at the old Grand Haven High School
The handrail is made of muffler pipe and reclaimed steel. Throw in an eye bolt for good measure.

The choice plank below was over 22" wide and 1 1/2 inch thick. They don't cut 'em like they used to.
