This American Standard vessel sink sits atop a hand crafted vanity. The top, and each of the shelves beneath it, were created by carefully removing, sanding, and hand crafting a custom finish on the original hardwood floor boards that were installed in this very room six decades ago.
The vanity was crafted at the homeowners local metal shop and transported to site and installed before the room was closed in.
The homeowners found this 24-lite treasure at an antique shoppe nearby. We stripped it and re-glazed each pane by hand. The window sits on hinges and can be opened to allow a gentle breeze to pass through the bathroom and into the adjoining bedroom.
A built-in book shelf was constructed behind the stand alone tub. The perfect size for a collection of favorite relaxing reads and perhaps a glass of wine.
This frame-less glass shower surround was built at Grand Haven's City Glass and Mirror. Surprisingly spacious, the hand tiled shower with a built-in shelf provided by Nobel Company of Spring Lake, measures nearly four feet wide by three feet deep.
The low shower pan threshold was a special request. At just over three inches in height, the marble covered threshold is as near a zero-clearance step.
The river stone pebble tile was selected by our homeowner. The drain is not actually gold, but rather silver. Not sure what happened when the flash went off. Still, a beautiful and unique floor.
