A reduced reproduction of a custom wainscoting. After it's painted, it'll appear as if it was a part of the original.
The French Doors were added to bring in views of Spring Lake... once we take the paper film off that is. :) Painting is scheduled for the week of July 22.
Our clients recently purchased this home on the north side of Spring Lake The biggest challenge was a floor plan with lots of small rooms. Solution: Remove a wall... or two. :)
Notice the arched entryways; a key design element that we'll be reproducing later. The one on the left leads to the kitchen while the one on the right leads to the dining area.
With the walls removed, you can see both rooms.
A temporary support column was added while we awaited a bracket capable of holding over 3,000lbs of weight from the second floor.
The bracket came in right on time from Baker Lumber. Before we're done, we'll be reproducing the original arched entry elements on the right and left sides of the beam. The island, tucked behind the ladder on the right, will come to the middle of the kitchen area and serve as a table for this soon to be family of four. We'll show those pics as we continue.
